My Approaches

I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, thoughtfully tailored to suit your unique circumstances and journey.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is my primary therapeutic approach. It is an evidence-based, short-term therapy which focuses on how our feelings, thoughts, and actions influence one another.

In our work together, we explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and use collaborative, evidence-based strategies to gently challenge and shift them to create new patterns, supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Narrative Therapy

I integrate narrative approaches into my work where helpful. Narrative therapy is based on the idea that we all develop personal stories about our lives, shaped by our experiences and the messages we receive from others.

In therapy, we examine these stories - both those imposed on us and those we create for ourselves - to identify unhelpful patterns, and work to re-write healthier narratives that support positive change and healing.

Person-Centred

Person-centred values sit at the heart of everything I do. I believe that the most meaningful change begins with a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship. One where you feel truly heard, accepted, and safe to explore whatever you’re facing.

Together, we create a compassionate, non-judgemental space that honours your voice and your pace. I believe, it is from this strong foundation that meaningful and lasting work can be achieved.

Trauma Informed

Trauma-informed approaches recognise the long-lasting impacts that our past experiences can have on thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This approach prioritises safety, trust, and empowerment, ensuring that therapy is conducted at a pace that feels manageable.

By understanding and addressing the effects of difficult past experiences, we can work together to support healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
